Benchley Craig, a Doodaaaist, whose frustrated football career led to his series of penalty paintings where his works are created by kicking a paint-covered football at a canvas goalmouth. He is known for his ability to take a corner kick and deliver a powerful smear to the painting’s surface, which cannot be achieved in any other way. He likens the difference between merely throwing ink onto a surface, or splintering the inkbottle with a twelve-bore shotgun.
