Shoes belonging to Gavin’s millionaire friend, Jan Wenner, which he stole from him on 53rd and 6th in New York in a heavy rainstorm, during a shopping expedition for new shoes. Gavin promised to turn them into a work of art. He then sold them back to Mr Wenner for a dollar on a coat hanger, at the 25th Anniversary Party to celebrate the Birth of Gonzo. He tried to auction them off to one of the rich guests but received only one bid, from Mr Wenner himself, for one dollar.
