"Career Girl"
pen & ink, collage on handmade paper

Gavin Twinge was one of quads and, when she gave birth, his mother felt as if her bottom had dropped off. His sister has eschewed motherhood, claiming she has no womb, and thinks only of herself, her career in fashion and her mobile phone. She thinks having children is a biblical idea that was foisted on women by men who wanted to be free agents. That’s why she believes in God. He’s a bloke who does what He wants and she thinks she is a victim who is only trying to please him by being a bloke too.
